About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help people discover specialized projects, build unified portfolios, and grow sustainable freelance careers doing the human work that teaches AI systems.

This posting connects you to a short-term contracting opportunity where your transcription skills help improve real AI systems and datasets.

About AI training and why it matters

AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human side of building modern AI. People prepare and correct the examples models learn from—transcribing audio, tagging entities, and reviewing machine outputs—so AI behaves reliably and ethically.

These roles are often 100% remote, flexible, and accessible to people with language skills and attention to detail. Contributors directly shape how state-of-the-art systems understand speech and language.

The role

OpenTrain is recruiting for a Hebrew transcription and audio review contractor to work on a project for OpenTrain. You will transcribe Hebrew audio, review and correct machine-generated transcripts, and add metadata and contextual annotations to improve dataset quality.

This is a contractor, part-time role with an expected commitment of 20+ hours per week. The project is remote and open worldwide.

What you'll do

  • Transcribe Hebrew audio with high fidelity to the source material.
  • Review and correct machine-generated Hebrew transcripts, fixing inaccuracies and misinterpretations.
  • Add detailed metadata tags and contextual annotations to support downstream use.
  • Collaborate with the project team to deliver consistent outputs on schedule.
  • Provide feedback to improve transcription guidelines and processes.
  • Maintain an organized workflow while handling multiple audio files and larger datasets.

Requirements

  • Fluent-level Hebrew proficiency with excellent listening and comprehension.
  • Proven experience in audio transcription, annotation, and metadata tagging.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Hebrew (and English as needed for coordination).
  • Familiarity with audio file formats and transcription tools (project uses a custom/other platform).
  • Ability to work independently in remote, distributed teams.
  • Careful attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Helpful background

Experience that will help you succeed includes audio engineering, previous data annotation work, and professional transcription experience. Experience improving machine-generated transcripts is a plus but not required.

Compensation, timing, and how to apply
