About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Contributors prepare examples, complete realistic tasks, record workflows, and review outputs so AI systems can learn how people use software in practical situations.

This work is remote and can provide flexible part-time opportunities. Your spreadsheet expertise will help represent the steps, decisions, and quality standards involved in everyday reporting, collaboration, and data-management workflows.

The Role

As a Google Sheets Task Recording Specialist, you will design realistic spreadsheet tasks, prepare the files and permissions needed to complete them, document the workflow, and record yourself working in a browser-based environment.

The work focuses on practical Google Sheets use across business, administration, finance, operations, sales, education, and data-analysis scenarios. You will help ensure each task is realistic, reproducible, complete, and aligned with project guidelines.

  • Contractor, part-time role
  • 20+ hours per week
  • Pay: $15 USD per hour
  • Entry-level experience level
  • Open to applicants in Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan
  • English language requirement: B2 level or higher

What You'll Do

You will create challenging Google Sheets tasks based on realistic workflows and prepare all supporting materials before recording. Each submission should clearly communicate the scenario, expected outcome, and steps required to complete the work.

After recording, you will review the video and documentation to confirm that the workflow is understandable, reproducible, complete, and consistent with the applicable quality guidelines.

  • Design tasks using realistic business, administration, finance, operations, sales, education, or data-analysis scenarios
  • Prepare sample data, references, files, permissions, browser tabs, and other required materials
  • Document the task context, goals, steps, and acceptance criteria clearly
  • Record complete workflows involving formulas, functions, filtering, sorting, charts, pivot tables, and dashboards where relevant
  • Record workflows involving data validation, conditional formatting, collaboration, reporting, or importing and exporting data where relevant
  • Review recordings and documentation for realism, reproducibility, completeness, and guideline alignment

Requirements

Strong hands-on Google Sheets experience is the key qualification. You should be comfortable using spreadsheets for formulas, reporting, data cleaning, collaboration, dashboards, and business workflows, as well as troubleshooting spreadsheet logic while preparing and reviewing submissions.

You should also be comfortable working independently with browser-based tools, Google Drive, files, tabs, permissions, and screen-recording software. Clear English communication at B2 level or higher is required.

  • Hands-on knowledge of Google Sheets formulas and functions
  • Experience with filters, sorting, charts, pivot tables, dashboards, data validation, and conditional formatting
  • Ability to design realistic spreadsheet tasks and workflows
  • Ability to prepare files, sample data, permissions, references, and browser-based environments
  • Ability to create clear, reproducible screen recordings
  • Ability to document workflows and acceptance criteria clearly
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply quality guidelines consistently
  • Careful attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Additional experience in administration, sales, finance, operations, education, data analysis, coding, or reporting is helpful

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is a strong fit for someone who regularly uses Google Sheets to organize information, build reports, clean data, create dashboards, or support collaborative business workflows. You do not need a long professional background, but you should be able to demonstrate practical, confident spreadsheet use.

It may suit professionals, students, administrators, analysts, operations specialists, educators, sales staff, and other detail-oriented contributors who can explain and record complete spreadsheet workflows in English.

  • Applicants located in Bangladesh, India, or Pakistan
  • Candidates available for at least 20 hours per week
