About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. It helps skilled contributors discover projects, build a professional profile, and apply for opportunities in a fast-growing technology industry.

As an OpenTrain contractor, you will contribute to practical AI development work while building experience and a portfolio around your specialized expertise.

About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building modern artificial intelligence. People review examples, evaluate model outputs, and provide precise feedback so AI systems become more accurate, reliable, and useful.

In this role, your Go expertise will help assess programming outputs and improve the quality of AI training data. The work is remote and supports flexible, project-based participation in a cutting-edge field.

The Role

OpenTrain is hiring a Go Quality Assurance Lead to review AI-generated Go code and trainer QA work for accuracy, clarity, and consistency. You will evaluate coding responses and review work against detailed project rubrics.

This remote contractor position focuses on Go AI training projects and includes written feedback, trainer and QA communication, onboarding support, documentation, and improvements to scalable quality workflows.

  • Remote contractor role based in the United States
  • Part-time arrangement requiring 20+ hours per week
  • Up to $70 per hour
  • English-language work

What You'll Do

You will review a range of Go programming and technical content, identify substantive issues, and communicate clear recommendations to trainers and quality reviewers. You will also help maintain the standards and documentation used across Go AI training projects.

  • Review Go coding responses, debugging responses, backend snippets, concurrency examples, tests, API implementations, and technical explanations.
  • Check for non-compilable code, incorrect concurrency patterns, goroutine leaks, race conditions, poor error handling, inefficient logic, hallucinated APIs, and weak security awareness.
  • Evaluate correctness, compile-time validity, runtime behavior, readability, maintainability, performance, test coverage, formatting, instruction-following, and rubric adherence.
  • Provide precise written feedback to trainers and QAs.
  • Help keep Go-specific guidelines current and communicate updates to trainers and quality reviewers.
  • Support onboarding, calibration, FAQs, honeypots, style guides, trackers, and other quality documentation.
  • Monitor recurring issues and help improve scalable QA processes for Go AI training work.

Required Qualifications

This role requires strong professional experience with Go development, backend engineering, software QA, code review, or technical mentoring. You should be comfortable judging AI-generated code against detailed standards and explaining your decisions clearly in writing.

  • Strong understanding of Go fundamentals, including goroutines, channels, interfaces, structs, methods, slices, maps, pointers, error handling, context, packages, modules, and testing.
  • Experience reviewing Go code for correctness, concurrency safety, and maintainability.
  • Ability to assess work against detailed rubrics and identify correctness, safety, and maintainability issues.
  • Familiarity with go test, gofmt, go vet, the race detector, HTTP servers, REST APIs, gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL drivers, GitHub, and CI/CD.
  • Strong English communication skills for written feedback and team coordination.
  • Experience working with remote teams is preferred.

Helpful Background

Experience supporting people and processes in technical environments will help you succeed. Familiarity with AI training and rubric-based evaluation is useful, but the core requirement is strong Go judgment and the ability to communicate quality standards consistently.

  • Leading or supporting trainers, annotators, reviewers, engineers, coding mentors, or QAs.
  • Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, code QA, or rubric-based code review.
  • Background in backend engineering, software QA, or technical mentoring.

Why Work With OpenTrain

OpenTrain helps contributors turn specialized AI training and data-labeling work into a durable professional portfolio. You can build a profile that reflects your expertise, discover projects aligned with your skills, and grow your experience across an expanding AI industry.

If you care about rigorous code review, clear feedback, strong standards, and practical impact on AI systems, this opportunity offers a way to apply your Go experience to the future of software and machine learning.

How To Apply

Create a free OpenTrain account, build your profile around your Go and quality assurance experience, and apply through OpenTrain. Highlight your background in Go code review, backend engineering, software QA, technical mentoring, and rubric-based evaluation.

  • Confirm that you are available for 20+ hours per week.
  • Showcase relevant Go development and code review experience.
  • Emphasize experience identifying concurrency, correctness, testing, and maintainability issues.
  • Apply remotely through OpenTrain.
