About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect contributors with projects that teach and refine AI systems — a fast-growing way to work in tech that’s remote, flexible, and directly shapes how AI behaves.

About AI Training Work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building AI: people create, review, and improve examples that models learn from. This role focuses on code-focused tasks — writing, correcting, and validating Go programs and snippets that will be used to train and evaluate AI systems.

The Role

We’re hiring experienced Go developers to produce high-quality training data and to debug Go code generated by AI. This is not a traditional software engineering position; your deliverables will be short programs, code snippets, tests, and corrected AI outputs that become part of datasets used to improve models.

This is a long-term contract (6+ months) with flexible scheduling. You must be able to commit 20–40 hours per week. Compensation is hourly at $9 USD per hour; employment type: contractor, part-time.

What You’ll Do

Work from prompts to write small Go programs and code snippets that meet clear specifications.

Debug and improve Go code produced by AI, fixing logic, performance, correctness, and style issues.

Create clear, reproducible examples and tests so that code can be used reliably as training data.

Document and comment code in English so reviewers and models can learn from your corrections.

  • Produce accurate, well-tested Go snippets in response to prompts.
  • Annotate and explain changes to AI-generated code for inclusion in training datasets.
  • Follow project-specific style and testing guidelines provided with each task.

Requirements

You must meet all of the following to be considered.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Go.
  • Fluent in English for project communication and code commenting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Availability to commit 20–40 hours per week for 6+ months.
  • Willingness to complete a paid Go coding assessment after submitting your proposal.

Who Should Apply

Apply if you enjoy concise, hands-on coding tasks, care about clear tests and documentation, and want to help improve AI through careful examples and fixes. This role suits developers who prefer short, frequent deliverables over long feature cycles.

  • Ideal for Go developers who want flexible, remote contract work and to contribute directly to AI training.
  • If you have under 2 years of Go experience, note that proposals may score lower against this requirement.
