The Role
OpenTrain is recruiting a German Audio Transcript Editor to improve AI transcription accuracy. You will listen to German audio recordings, review corresponding transcripts, correct word-level errors, verify timestamps, and apply consistent formatting guidelines.
This contractor role is open worldwide and can be completed remotely. The expected time commitment is 20 or more hours per week, with work performed independently and asynchronously on your own schedule. Swiss German speakers and High German speakers based in Switzerland are strongly encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do
Listen to German audio recordings and review the corresponding transcripts for accuracy

Requirements and Helpful Background
You should be comfortable working carefully through spoken German and following detailed instructions. The role is suitable for entry-level applicants who have strong listening skills and can work reliably without close supervision.
Previous transcription or audio experience is helpful but not required. Relevant backgrounds may include transcription, court reporting, stenography, subtitle editing, closed-captioning, audio post-production, linguistics, German language studies, annotation platforms, AI training projects, transcription software, or audio editing tools.
Native or near-native German proficiency
An excellent ear for spoken German across accents and registers, including Swiss varieties
