The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a Financial Modeling and Investment AI Training Expert to create and evaluate difficult tasks for advanced AI systems. You will assess technical accuracy, assumptions, practical relevance, evidence, and alignment with professional financial standards.
The work spans financial modeling, valuation, investment research, portfolio analysis, forecasting, and risk assessment. Strong investment judgment and the ability to challenge financial assumptions are central to success.
Create high-difficulty financial and investment tasks
Develop gold-standard solutions grounded in professional practice
Review and calibrate contributor work for technical accuracy and quality
Evaluate valuation logic, assumptions, risks, and evidence-based recommendations
Escalate genuine edge cases and ambiguities in evaluation criteria
Required Expertise
You should bring 8 to 15 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, asset management, credit, equity research, or corporate finance. The role requires advanced modeling capability and expert knowledge of established valuation methods.
A CFA, CAIA, MBA, equivalent qualification, substantial front-office or investment-desk experience, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience are relevant qualifications.
Expert knowledge of DCF, comparable-company, precedent-transaction, and asset-based valuation
Advanced experience building three-statement, LBO, merger, credit, forecasting, and scenario models
Strong ability to evaluate opportunities, assess risks, and challenge assumptions
Ability to present evidence-based investment recommendations
Relevant experience creating difficult finance tasks, producing gold-standard solutions, or reviewing and calibrating analytical work
Helpful Background
Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role can help you contribute, but it is not required. Experience presenting evidence-based recommendations and critically reviewing financial assumptions is especially relevant.
