The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Financial AI Model Evaluation Expert to assess and improve AI model performance on finance-related tasks. You will review model outputs, develop rigorous evaluation frameworks, and collaborate with AI researchers on training methods and benchmarks.

This is a fully remote, part-time contractor opportunity with flexible hours and a time requirement of 20 or more hours per week. The role is available to candidates based in India and requires excellent written and verbal English.

What You'll Do

You will apply your finance expertise to determine whether AI-generated analysis is accurate, relevant, and logically sound. Your feedback will help researchers identify model weaknesses and develop stronger finance-focused training and evaluation methods.

• Evaluate AI model outputs on finance-related tasks
• Identify gaps in model accuracy, reasoning, and performance
• Develop rubrics and structured assessments for deal analysis
• Assess outputs involving mergers and acquisitions, investment scenarios, and other finance domains
• Collaborate with AI researchers on training strategies and evaluation methods
• Help design benchmarks for finance-focused AI systems
• Provide expert feedback to improve model performance in finance contexts

Requirements

This opportunity is intended for finance professionals with at least two years of relevant experience. No prior experience working with AI is required, and training will be provided.

• At least 2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, FP&A, accounting, or financial consulting
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and investment analysis
• Strong understanding of asset management and risk management
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Based in India and available to contribute 20+ hours per week

Preferred Background

Professional credentials and hands-on experience with complex financial analysis can be especially valuable for evaluating nuanced AI outputs.

• CFA certification at any level
• CA, CPA, or MBA in Finance
• Experience with deal analysis
• Experience assessing mergers and acquisitions
• Experience working with investment scenarios
