About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting a Final Cut Pro Video Data Annotator to support AI training work focused on video data annotation. You will use Final Cut Pro and macOS editing workflows to organize video footage, create accurate metadata, and prepare structured media assets for AI training datasets. This is a remote contractor role paying $15‑$80 per hour. Prior AI training experience is not required. Practical video editing knowledge and careful execution are central to the role.

What you will do
Annotate and tag video content in Final Cut Pro according to project guidelines. Segment footage, mark keyframes, and highlight relevant scenes while applying video editing techniques such as cutting, sequencing, and color correction. Organize and process media assets through macOS workflows, maintain consistency and accuracy across annotations, and prepare post production deliverables. Communicate clearly with project coordinators, incorporate feedback from periodic annotation reviews, and submit completed annotations, documentation, and media assets according to delivery requirements.

Required skills
Hands on Final Cut Pro experience in a professional or academic context is preferred. You should understand video post production techniques, including cutting, sequencing, and color correction, and be familiar with macOS based editing tools and workflows. Strong attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication, and the ability to follow detailed project guidelines are required. Entry level through mid level video editing experience is welcome, including experience gained through relevant portfolio work. Interest or exposure to video data annotation and media organization is helpful but not required.
