The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking a Fantasy Sports AI Evaluation Expert to improve large language models through advanced sports analytics and fantasy sports domain logic. You will translate league mechanics into deterministic rules, validate AI outputs, and check that fantasy tools reflect professional sports and fantasy industry practice.

What You'll Do
You will establish evaluation standards and review structured materials used by AI builders. The work requires careful reasoning, strong knowledge of fantasy sports mechanics, and the ability to provide clear quality judgments.
Define parameters for sport, league size, scoring format, roster settings, positional limits, and valuation methods.
Validate player projections, roster exports, customized scoring rules, and other context files used by AI builders.
Verify scoring formulas, standings and playoff logic, draft value calculations, and validation lists.
Design, evaluate, and calibrate fantasy draft boards, scoreboards, and projection models.
Review AI-generated outputs and provide quality sign-off against professional standards.
Translate complex league rules into deterministic spreadsheet formulas and structured parameters.
Requirements
Applicants should bring substantial practical experience in sports analytics, fantasy sports content or tools development, or league commissioning. A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role is helpful but not required. Reliable remote equipment and a stable, high-speed internet connection are required.
Five or more years of experience in sports analytics, fantasy sports tools development, or league commissioning.
Deep knowledge of PPR and standard scoring, draft rankings, player tiers, roster limits, and standings tiebreakers.
Ability to convert complex league rules into clear spreadsheet formulas and structured parameters.
Judgment for validating AI-generated projections, draft boards, scoreboards, and playoff logic.
Strong analytical reasoning, creative problem-solving, and concise professional writing.
Reliable equipment for remote work and a stable, high-speed internet connection.
