About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the centralized, open platform where AI training and data-labeling freelancers find work, consolidate opportunities across platforms, and build a unified AI training portfolio they control. We make specialized AI training work easier to track, apply for, and grow into a durable freelance career.

About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for an Engineering and Manufacturing AI Work Evaluator to assess AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. You will apply expertise in engineering, manufacturing, or technical operations to judge accuracy, rigor, presentation quality, and domain relevance. This remote, hourly engagement focuses on dependable feedback that helps improve AI-generated professional content.

What you will do
You will evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks against domain-specific quality rubrics. You will assess whether work products are accurate, rigorous, and appropriate for their technical context. You will identify factual errors and issues involving aesthetics, formatting, clarity, or presentation. You will apply practical subject-matter judgment consistently across different artifacts and provide clear, structured written feedback explaining the basis for each assessment.

Required skills
You should have at least five years of relevant professional experience in engineering, manufacturing, or technical operations. Native or professional fluency in English is required. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is expected, including practical experience with Google Slides or PowerPoint. You should be able to evaluate technical work products for factual accuracy, rigor, and overall quality.

Helpful background
An advanced degree, such as a master's degree or higher, from a reputable institution is a preferred qualification.

Engagement details
This is a remote hourly engagement with compensation of $80‑$120 per hour. The work centers on expert evaluation and written feedback for AI-generated professional artifacts, making it suited to an experienced practitioner who can combine technical knowledge with careful quality judgment.
