About this role

You will design and curate single-option multiple-choice questions, write clear explanations and rubrics, review AI-generated technical content, and provide actionable feedback to improve training data. The project is asynchronous and collaborative with an emphasis on technical accuracy and pedagogical value.

This is a part-time contractor role expected to be 20+ hours per week, fully remote and worldwide, working primarily in English.

What you'll do day to day

Work independently to create high-quality assessment items and review AI outputs, ensuring each item is technically correct, pedagogically sound, and accompanied by a clear rubric and explanation.

• Create single-option multiple-choice questions within your electrical engineering specialization.
• Write concise explanations and detailed rubrics to support instructional quality and consistent evaluation.
• Review AI-generated technical responses for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with learning goals.
• Provide actionable feedback to refine question quality through asynchronous collaboration.
• Document technical concepts clearly for written and verbal audiences.

Requirements and qualifications

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline (required).
• Deep expertise in analog circuits, digital circuits, RF, or power electronics with an integrated-circuits focus.
• Experience creating educational content, designing rubrics, or developing assessments is highly valued.
• Teaching or tutoring experience in electrical engineering is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort working independently in a remote, asynchronous workflow.

Compensation, schedule, and logistics

This role pays on an hourly basis. OpenTrain AI hires contractors worldwide for remote, asynchronous work.
