The Role
As an Economics Quality Assurance Lead, you will oversee quality and consistency across economics-focused AI training projects. You will review AI-generated economics content as well as trainer and QA submissions, evaluate work against project rubrics, provide precise written feedback, and help keep contributor output aligned with expected standards.
This is a remote contractor role for a US-based contributor, with an intermediate experience level, part-time availability, and a commitment of 20 or more hours per week. Compensation is $90 per hour.

What You’ll Do
You will combine economics expertise, analytical judgment, and structured communication to evaluate complex training work. Your feedback will help trainers and QAs correct recurring issues and produce more reliable, consistent outputs.
Review economics AI training work for accuracy, reasoning quality, assumption handling, and rubric adherence
Evaluate economics explanations, calculations, graphs, policy claims, and data interpretation
Identify flawed assumptions, causal errors, misleading graphs, weak data interpretation, and unsupported conclusions
Provide clear written feedback to trainers and QAs
Monitor recurring quality issues and communicate updates to remote contributors
Maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, examples, onboarding materials, and other project documentation
Support onboarding and training for remote expert teams
Help identify workflow improvements and scalable QA processes
Help keep contributor workflows active and organized
Requirements
You should have a strong background in economics or a closely related analytical field and be comfortable judging both the correctness and communication quality of economics content. Strong written English is essential for precise feedback and team coordination.
Strong background in Economics, Applied Economics, Econometrics, Public Policy, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field
Experience in economics research, teaching, policy analysis, economic consulting, data analysis, content review, or related analytical workflows
Strong understanding of microeconomics and macroeconomics
Knowledge of market structures, supply and demand, elasticity, externalities, monetary and fiscal policy, inflation, unemployment, trade, and economic growth
Understanding of basic econometric reasoning
Ability to evaluate detailed rubrics and judge economic accuracy, assumptions, and causal reasoning
Strong written English for clear feedback and team communication
