About AI Training Work
AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Contributors prepare examples, record workflows, evaluate outputs, and provide structured information that helps modern AI systems understand real-world tasks and software usage.
In this role, your screen-recorded demonstrations and task documentation will help create realistic training material based on how people use drawing, design, drafting, CAD, diagramming, and related visual applications.
Work remotely using a computer and an internet connection.
Apply practical software knowledge to cutting-edge AI development.
Choose flexible, part-time work while contributing to realistic training data.
The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a Drawing and Design Software AI Task Specialist to design challenging, realistic computer-based workflows for AI training. You will use hands-on knowledge of visual software to prepare files and assets, create task instructions, record complete workflows, and document the context and goals of each submission.
This is an entry-level contractor opportunity, but it requires practical proficiency with at least one relevant drawing, design, drafting, CAD, diagramming, vector, raster, or 3D application.
Employment type: Part-time contractor
Schedule: 20+ hours per week
Location: Remote
Available in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, and Pakistan
Advertised pay: Up to $20 per hour

What You'll Do
You will create and demonstrate realistic software workflows from start to finish. Each task should reflect practical drawing, drafting, design, illustration, diagramming, or documentation work and be clear enough for quality review.
Before recording, you will prepare the applications, workspace, files, assets, and references needed to complete the task. After recording, you will review both the video and its documentation to confirm that the submission is complete, understandable, and aligned with project guidelines.
Create tasks using drawing, design, drafting, CAD, diagramming, vector, raster, or 3D software.
Prepare applications, files, assets, references, and the workspace before recording.
Record complete and understandable workflows on your computer.
Demonstrate operations such as drawing, editing, layout setup, scaling, labeling, annotations, exports, and file organization.
Troubleshoot software, file, scale, and export issues during workflow preparation or execution.
Document task goals, context, steps, files, and notes.
Self-review recordings and documentation for completeness and quality.
Required Skills
You should have hands-on experience with at least one drawing or design application and understand the practical concepts used in relevant workflows. Strong computer skills, careful preparation, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Practical proficiency with at least one relevant application, such as SketchUp, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma, CorelDRAW, Procreate, Krita, Visio, or Lucidchart.
Knowledge of layers, groups, shapes, paths, scale, alignment, dimensions, layouts, annotations, file formats, and exports.
Ability to manage files, open required programs, navigate software interfaces, and record workflows.
Ability to design challenging but realistic tasks with clear goals, files, assets, and execution steps.
Ability to prepare workspaces, troubleshoot missing or misaligned files, and resolve scale or export issues.
Ability to produce complete screen recordings and clear task documentation.
English communication at B2 level or higher.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow project guidelines.
Who Should Apply
This role may suit freelancers who use visual software in practical settings and can explain their process through structured tasks and screen recordings.
