About AI Training and Data Labeling

The Role

OpenTrain AI is looking for an intermediate-level Document and Email Data Extraction Reviewer. The system processes PDFs, emails, scanned files, and other documents, then uses AI to extract structured information into records.

Each record may include fields such as dates, amounts, names, and codes. The fields you review will change according to the document type, so you must carefully read each field name and its description rather than assuming the same field has the same meaning across documents.

• Employment type: Part-time contractor
• Pay: $12 per hour
• Time requirement: Less than 20 hours per week

• Document types may include invoices, contracts, bills of lading, certificates, and other business records

What You’ll Do

You will review every extracted record by comparing the AI-generated information against the original source document. Your work will involve validating correct information, fixing errors, completing missing fields, and identifying cases that require escalation.

• Confirm fields that accurately match the source document
• Correct fields containing inaccurate extracted information
• Fill in fields that the AI missed
• Flag ambiguous information for escalation
• Review different schemas and field definitions for different document types
• Compare extracted records with PDFs, emails, scanned files, and other source documents

Requirements and Preferred Experience

This is an intermediate-level opportunity. Experience working with back-office or middle-office documents is ideal, particularly business records such as invoices, sales orders, and purchase orders. Experience labeling data for LLM products is a significant advantage.

• Strong attention to detail when comparing records with source documents
• Ability to follow changing field names and descriptions carefully
• Experience with back-office or middle-office documentation preferred
• Experience with LLM data labeling preferred
• English-language work
