About Video AI Training

AI training is the human work behind artificial intelligence. Contributors review, classify, annotate, and evaluate examples so AI systems can better understand visual and audiovisual content.

In this role, your post-production knowledge will support structured video data that helps models interpret footage, recognize technical characteristics, and evaluate content quality. Prior AI experience is not required.

  • Work with data used to improve video-focused AI systems
  • Apply practical audiovisual judgment to structured annotation tasks
  • Contribute to a fast-growing field at the intersection of media and technology

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a DaVinci Resolve video data annotation editor to review video clips and create structured labels and comments for AI training. You will combine hands-on editing knowledge with careful, consistent assessment of visual and technical attributes.

The role is suited to an entry-level AI training opportunity for someone with practical DaVinci Resolve and post-production experience. You will work remotely and independently while following detailed project guidelines, milestones, and submission protocols.

  • Core focus: video data annotation and evaluation
  • Software: DaVinci Resolve
  • Work arrangement: remote contractor
  • Experience level: entry level
  • Schedule: 20+ hours per week

What You'll Do

You will review audiovisual material, make consistent judgments, and document your decisions clearly. Accuracy and repeatability are important because your labels and comments become structured examples for AI training.

  • Perform video data annotation in DaVinci Resolve
  • Review, label, and comment on video clips
  • Apply color correction and color grading knowledge to evaluate footage
  • Assess video quality, clarity, and technical audiovisual attributes
  • Use knowledge of digital video formats and relevant specifications
  • Document annotation decisions and decision-making approaches
  • Communicate feedback about annotation processes and tools
  • Follow detailed instructions, project milestones, and submission protocols
  • Work independently while responding constructively to feedback

Requirements

You should have hands-on DaVinci Resolve experience in a post-production context, along with practical proficiency in video editing and color correction and grading fundamentals. The role also requires clear communication, careful attention to detail, and the ability to follow complex instructions.

Prior experience in AI is not required. Experience evaluating audiovisual content or working with structured labeling is helpful, but the required foundation is your video and post-production expertise.

  • Hands-on experience using DaVinci Resolve in post-production
  • Practical video editing experience
  • Understanding of color correction and color grading fundamentals
  • Knowledge of digital video formats and technical specifications
  • Ability to make consistent judgments about video quality and clarity
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to document annotation decisions clearly
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and use feedback constructively
