About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help people start and grow careers teaching AI by consolidating projects, building unified portfolios, and making specialized AI training work easier to track and apply to.

Work found through OpenTrain connects you to real projects that shape how AI systems behave; this listing is for a contract role working with a project partner focused on multilingual video transcription and linguistic analysis.

About AI training and why it matters

AI training (data labeling, annotation, or human feedback work) is the human side of building modern AI. People prepare and review examples—transcripts, annotations, ratings, and linguistic analyses—that models learn from and which directly influence model performance.

This kind of work is remote-friendly, flexible, and accessible: many projects need attention to detail, language fluency, or domain knowledge rather than formal qualifications. Contributors are on the cutting edge of how language AI systems understand speech and meaning.

The role

We are recruiting bilingual Czech–English reviewers to transcribe video content and produce detailed linguistic analyses. You will create accurate bilingual transcripts with speaker timestamps, evaluate tone and emotionality, assess grammar and vocabulary in context, and prepare clear reports for the project team.

This is a contractor, part-time role working with OpenTrain on multilingual video data. The role suits detail-oriented reviewers with transcription experience and an analytical approach to language.

What you'll do

  • Transcribe spoken content in Czech and English with high accuracy and clear formatting.
  • Document speaker timestamps precisely for multi-speaker videos.
  • Analyze tone, emotionality, and speaker intent across segments.
  • Evaluate grammar, vocabulary, and conceptual meaning in context.
  • Prepare detailed linguistic reports and findings for internal use.
  • Collaborate with the project team and provide constructive feedback to improve outputs.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Czech and English (reading, writing, and comprehension).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Experience in transcription, language analysis, or related linguistic work.
  • Proficiency with transcription tools and digital collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Availability for part-time work; typical commitment 20+ hours/week (description also references a minimum ~15 hours/week).

Helpful background and who should apply

This role is a strong fit for people with linguistics, translation, or language-technology experience, and for those familiar with multimedia content and remote international teams.

Entry-level applicants with solid transcription experience and careful, analytical working habits are welcome. If you enjoy close reading of language, tracking nuance across speakers, and producing clear written findings, apply.
