The Role

OpenTrain AI is recruiting a Customer Support AI Task Author to create expert tasks that train and evaluate advanced AI agents on real enterprise support work. You will transform realistic customer issues into structured triage scenarios involving ticket review, account-configuration checks, runbook consultation, and decisions about resolution or escalation.

This is a fully remote contractor role for support professionals located in Singapore. The listed commitment is 20 or more hours per week, with a flexible range of 10–40 hours per week, and compensation of $20–$50 per hour.

What You'll Do

You will design support tasks that make an AI agent work through the same kinds of evidence and decisions that a skilled support professional handles in practice. Each scenario should be realistic, solvable, and measurable.

• Author prompts covering customer-issue triage, account-configuration checks, runbook lookup, and fix-versus-escalation decisions.
• Write scoring rubrics that make routing decisions, resolution paths, and escalation criteria objectively verifiable.
• Configure task environments with ticket queues, account records, runbooks, and system states.
• Solve each task to validate that the scenario is realistic, the answer is clear, and the rubric captures the intended reasoning.
• Adjust ambiguity, configuration complexity, and runbook depth to create an appropriate challenge for the model.
• Review and correct AI-drafted prompts and rubrics when provided.

Required Experience and Skills

You should have hands-on product-support experience and be comfortable applying structured troubleshooting and escalation practices.
