About AI Training Work
AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. People with practical expertise review examples, evaluate model outputs, and provide structured feedback so AI systems can become more accurate, useful, and reliable.
In this role, your creative judgment will help assess AI-generated design and media outputs. No prior AI experience is required, but previous paid human data work for AI models is required.
- Help improve next-generation AI systems
- Apply real-world creative and multimedia knowledge
- Evaluate outputs against defined quality criteria
- Work remotely with a flexible part-time commitment
The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking Creative and Design Specialists to contribute advanced skills to a project focused on innovative design and media creation. You will use professional workflows and creative judgment to evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, usability, and realism.
This is a contractor role for people with at least two years of professional experience in relevant creative or design work and verified, paid experience with AI training data. Experience only generating images, video, or copy with AI tools does not meet the human data experience requirement.
- Role: Creative and Design Specialist
- Role type: Contractor
- Work arrangement: Remote
- Subject matter: Creative design and multimedia AI evaluation
- Expected availability: Less than 20 hours per week
What You'll Do
You will complete structured creative tasks and review AI-generated design and media work. Your annotations, ratings, and recommendations will help document where outputs meet professional standards and where they need improvement.
Assignments may involve the creative applications most relevant to your expertise, including design, video, motion, fashion, presentation, and collaborative planning tools.
- Complete structured tasks using Figma, Canva, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CorelDRAW, CLO3D, Camtasia, Adobe Lightroom, Mural, Milanote, or Behance
- Evaluate AI-generated design and media outputs for accuracy, usability, and realism
- Provide detailed annotations, constructive feedback, and quality ratings
- Document observations and improvement suggestions about creative processes and tool usage
- Submit deliverables within agreed timelines
- Maintain project quality benchmarks
Required Qualifications
Creative expertise is the central qualification for this opportunity. You should be comfortable applying professional standards to design or multimedia work and communicating your evaluations clearly in English.
A formal degree is not necessary. Practical experience and demonstrated ability with relevant creative tools are more important.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in graphic design, motion graphics, video editing, UI/UX design, fashion design, presentation design, audio or sound work, or a related area
- Proficiency with creative applications relevant to your expertise
- Experience with comparable creative tools is welcome
- Verified, paid human data experience for AI training
- Experience may include data labeling, annotation, RLHF, AI output evaluation, model evaluation, or rubric-based grading
- Strong written and verbal English communication at B2 level or above
- Fluent English proficiency
- Dependable internet connection and readiness to begin promptly
Who Should Apply
This opportunity is designed for creative professionals who want to apply their existing skills to AI evaluation. It may suit specialists in graphic design, video, motion, UI/UX, fashion, presentations, or related multimedia disciplines.
Applicants must have previous paid human data experience for AI models. This firm requirement distinguishes professional AI training work from using AI tools solely to generate creative content.
- Creative and design specialists with professional tool experience
- Multimedia experts familiar with real-world creative workflows
- Contributors who can provide precise, constructive quality feedback
- Professionals seeking flexible, remote, part-time AI work
- Candidates comfortable working in English
