The Role
OpenTrain AI is recruiting a freelance Computational Mathematics Problem Design AI Trainer to create and solve original, research-grade or graduate-level scientific problems using Python. You will combine rigorous mathematical problem formulation with accurate solution development and structured peer review.
The role is listed as entry level, but it requires a PhD or PhD candidacy in Computational Mathematics, at least one peer-reviewed publication, and advanced proficiency in Python for scientific coding.

What You’ll Do
You will be responsible for both the intellectual design of mathematical tasks and the quality assurance process used to validate them. The work includes collaborating with reviewers and team leads and applying feedback to strengthen the final content.
Conceptualize original research-grade or graduate-level scientific problems
Write problems involving scientific coding in Python
Define problem categories and secondary tags
Assign appropriate difficulty levels
Solve formulated problems using sound mathematical and scientific principles
Participate in two-tier reviews of problems and solutions
Evaluate accuracy, reliability, and logical coherence
Incorporate feedback from reviewers and team leads
Requirements

PhD or PhD Candidate in Computational Mathematics
At least one peer-reviewed publication
