The Role
As a Computational Mathematics AI Problem Author, you will create and solve challenging research-grade and graduate-level problems for advanced language model training and evaluation. The work combines mathematical problem design, Python-based scientific programming, and structured quality review.
You will be expected to maintain rigorous standards for mathematical accuracy, logical coherence, solution reliability, and clear technical documentation.
Fully remote contractor assignment
Planned duration of three months
Choose a commitment of 20, 30, or 40 hours per week
Work at least four hours per day
Maintain at least four hours of overlap with Pacific Time

What You'll Do
You will develop original computational mathematics content and assess the quality of problems and solutions through a structured two-tier review process. Feedback from reviewers and team leads will help you refine the content and strengthen its consistency.
Develop original research-grade and graduate-level computational mathematics problems
Create elegant and accurate solutions using Python and scientific coding methods
Define problem categories, secondary tags, and appropriate difficulty levels
Participate in two-tier reviews of problems and solutions
Assess mathematical accuracy, reasoning quality, and solution reliability
Incorporate feedback from reviewers and team leads
Document solutions clearly for technical review and collaboration
Requirements

PhD or current PhD candidacy in computational mathematics
At least one published peer-reviewed paper
