About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. It helps experts discover projects, build a professional profile, and apply in minutes to work shaping how modern AI systems are developed.
Creating an OpenTrain account is free. In this role, you will bring specialized clinical-trial biostatistics expertise to AI training work designed to assess whether an AI system can perform rigorous analytical tasks.
- Remote contract opportunity
- Open to candidates in the United States, Canada, or France
- Part-time engagement with a standard 40-hour-per-week option
- Pay of $120 to $170 per hour
About AI Training Work
AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Experts prepare examples, review outputs, and create structured evaluation standards so AI systems can perform useful work accurately and consistently.
This position applies that process to clinical-trial biostatistics. Your analyses, synthetic datasets, prompts, golden outputs, and rubrics will help measure an AI agent's ability to complete comparable biostatistical work.
- Contribute to cutting-edge AI development
- Apply specialist knowledge to realistic analytical workflows
- Evaluate AI-generated work against defined standards
- Work remotely with flexible availability
The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a Clinical Trial Biostatistics AI Training Expert to create realistic synthetic patient-level clinical-trial data and transform it through SDTM and ADaM into TLF outputs. You will contribute across complete analytical pipelines and individual biostatistics tasks while ensuring that every figure reconciles to its underlying source data.
The work combines clinical-trial data transformation with structured AI evaluation. You will translate an existing statistical analysis plan into reliable data transformations and outputs, then create prompts, golden outputs, and rubrics that assess AI-generated biostatistical work.
- Clinical-trial focus spanning Phase 1 to Phase 3 pre-market studies
- Work across SDTM, ADaM, and TLF layers
- Subject matter: clinical-trial biostatistics
- Contractor and part-time engagement
What You'll Do
You will build realistic, clinically coherent examples and complete the transformations and analyses needed to produce trustworthy outputs. The role requires careful reconciliation between results and source data, along with sound judgment when defining how AI work should be evaluated.
- Simulate realistic raw patient-level clinical-trial data
- Transform raw data through SDTM and ADaM
- Produce TLF outputs and reconcile each figure to its source data
- Execute complete clinical-trial biostatistical analysis pipelines
- Complete component-level biostatistics tasks
- Translate an existing statistical analysis plan into data transformations and outputs
- Develop prompts for AI biostatistics workflows
- Create golden outputs and evaluation rubrics
- Assess AI-generated analytical work against defined standards
Required Qualifications
You must have a master's degree in biostatistics or statistics and at least five years of professional biostatistics experience. Doctoral training is preferred, as is 10 to 25 years of experience.
The listing is categorized as entry level, but the described work has substantial specialist requirements. Candidates must be able to work independently across clinical-trial data standards, analysis pipelines, synthetic data generation, and evaluation design.
- Master's degree in biostatistics or statistics
- At least five years of professional biostatistics experience
- PhD or other doctoral training preferred
- Ten to 25 years of experience preferred
- Hands-on SDTM, ADaM, and TLF experience
- Experience across Phase 1 to Phase 3 pre-market clinical trials
- Ability to work from an existing statistical analysis plan
- Ability to produce realistic and clinically coherent synthetic data
- Experience executing end-to-end clinical-trial analysis pipelines
- Ability to assess analytical outputs against defined standards
- Judgment to design AI prompts, golden outputs, and evaluation rubrics
Schedule, Location, and Pay
This is a remote contract role for candidates located in the United States, Canada, or France. The minimum availability is 20 to 25 hours per week, with 30 or more hours preferred. The standard engagement is 40 hours per week.
- Minimum availability: 20 to 25 hours per week
- Preferred availability: 30 or more hours per week
- Standard engagement: 40 hours per week
- Hourly pay range: $120 to $170
