The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Civil and Survey Plan Review Expert to support document-based AI evaluation work. You will review Civil drawings, survey maps, aerials, parcel data, and related site materials, then assess model outputs against project guidelines and rubrics.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate model outputs using project rubrics
• Review source materials and model outputs against detailed guidelines

• Identify important quantities, contours, exceptions, and plan-review issues

Requirements

Applicants should bring relevant professional, academic, or language expertise in Civil and Survey Plan Review. The role requires strong technical document interpretation, careful attention to detail, and the ability to apply project instructions consistently while working independently.

• PE in civil engineering or PLS for survey and mapping work
• At least three years producing or reviewing site, civil, or survey work
• Experience applying US standards, state DOT practice, or local land development requirements
• Ability to interpret civil drawings, survey maps, aerials, topographic maps, and parcel data
• Ability to identify quantities, contours, exceptions, and plan-review issues
• Fluency in English
• Strong written communication and attention to detail
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply rubrics consistently
• Comfort working independently on remote contractor tasks

Schedule and Pay

This is flexible remote contractor work with a time requirement of 20+ hours per week and a default commitment of about 40 hours per week. You can organize your schedule flexibly around the project requirements.
