The Role
As a Chinese Mandarin AI Content Annotator, you will evaluate generative AI content in Mandarin and English. You will review outputs, rate their quality and factual accuracy, compare responses, classify content, and flag safety or policy issues according to detailed instructions.
This is project-based freelance work, so task availability varies by project. The role may involve reviewing sensitive or potentially disturbing content when required.
Native-level Mandarin Chinese reading, writing, and comprehension
English proficiency at C1 or higher
20+ hours of weekly availability

What You’ll Do
You will apply structured evaluation criteria to AI-generated content and communicate clearly when an output is inaccurate, unsafe, low quality, or inconsistent with project requirements. Strong attention to detail and reliable guideline application are essential.
Review primarily text-based AI outputs
Occasionally review images or videos
Rate content quality and factual accuracy
Compare multiple AI responses
Classify and label content
Write prompts, questions, or answers when assigned
Identify and flag safety or policy issues
Participate in red-teaming, RLHF, and other evaluation tasks
Requirements
You must be currently residing in Singapore and legally able to work as an independent contractor or freelancer there. A bachelor’s degree in any field and at least one year of professional work experience are required.
You should be comfortable working independently with complex written instructions and asking clarifying questions when guidelines are unclear. You must also be able to pass language and skills screening, calibration, and ongoing quality checks.
