The Role

We are recruiting a Mandarin language specialist to support AI training and bilingual business communication. The work centers on Mandarin↔English translation, interpretation, proofreading, and localization for business contexts.

This is a contract, part-time position (less than 20 hours per week). The project is remote and open worldwide. Pay is hourly; listed pay range is $45–$95 USD/hour (hourlyRate: 95, hourlyMin: 45, hourlyMax: 95). No prior AI experience is required.

What you will do

Day-to-day tasks focus on converting and polishing business content between Mandarin and English, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness.

• Translate and interpret between Mandarin and English for business settings
• Review, edit, and proofread written materials for clarity, accuracy, and cultural relevance
• Localize documents, presentations, and marketing content for Mandarin-speaking audiences
• Help teams communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders across languages
• Maintain messaging consistency and meet deadline-driven delivery expectations

Requirements

Candidates must meet the core language and professional requirements below. These reflect the skills needed to produce high-quality, business-grade bilingual content and to work remotely with distributed teams.

• Native or near-native Mandarin proficiency (required)
• Strong written and spoken English (required)
• Experience in translation, interpretation, or language services in business/professional settings
• Detail-oriented work style and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
