About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for people building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help contributors find projects, build a unified portfolio, and grow durable freelance careers working directly on the human side of AI.

This posting is for a contract project hosted through OpenTrain that brings practical HR experience into AI training—contributing real-world documents and feedback that improve how models read and generate HR content.

About AI Training Work

AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is how people teach AI systems to understand real-world content. Projects can include writing, translating, editing, and rating model outputs, and your work directly shapes how future systems handle HR materials.

Most projects are remote and flexible, and they value domain expertise—this role blends HR subject-matter skill with language and documentation craft to produce high-quality training data.

The Role

We are hiring a Chinese HR Documents Specialist to develop, localize, and refine HR documentation used for AI training. This contractor, part-time role is remote and especially suited to candidates based in the United States who can work independently and deliver professional, precise content.

You will represent real Fortune 500–grade HR documentation and workflows so models learn to produce and evaluate realistic HR outputs in Chinese.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, review, and enhance HR documents in Chinese: employee handbooks, onboarding materials, policies, and procedures.
  • Create, format, and edit Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations to professional standards.
  • Translate or localize HR content to preserve nuance and clarity for Chinese-speaking professionals.
  • Provide expert insight on HR workflows, compliance, and documentation standards to inform training examples.
  • Collaborate with AI engineers and project managers by supplying high-quality examples and feedback to improve model outputs.
  • Use Fortune 500 HR experience to craft realistic workplace scenarios and documentation use cases.

Requirements

  • Native-level proficiency in Chinese and strong written and verbal English.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Human Resources and HR documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience producing and refining documents, spreadsheets, and presentations in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, compliance, and industry-standard documentation.
  • Experience working within or creating content for Fortune 500 companies.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to work independently in a remote environment.

Helpful Background

Candidates based in the United States are especially encouraged to apply. Prior work documenting HR programs for technology, finance, or multinational organizations is a plus.

Familiarity with AI training or large language model projects is helpful but not required—your domain expertise is the priority.

Compensation & Schedule

Contractor, part-time role with a time expectation of 20+ hours per week.

Pay: listed at $55.00 per hour (contractor rate). Exact scheduling and workload are flexible within the project requirements.

  • Employment type: Contractor, Part-time.
  • Work location: Remote (US-preferred).
  • Data type: Document; label tasks include text generation, translation/localization, and evaluation/rating.

How It Works / How To Apply

Create or sign in to your OpenTrain account to apply and build a profile that showcases your HR documentation experience. If selected, you will contribute examples, edits, and feedback used to train and evaluate AI models.

The project will require delivering high-quality documents and participating in reviewer feedback loops with engineers and project managers; work will be tracked and paid on a contractor basis.

  • Prepare examples of HR documents or a brief portfolio showing your HR documentation work and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Be ready to demonstrate bilingual ability in Chinese and English during onboarding or assessments.
