The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Career Coaching AI Training Contributor to conduct paired, one-on-one conversations with other professionals. You will simulate realistic coaching situations involving career planning, job searches, interviews, professional development, workplace challenges, and career transitions.

The work combines professional career coaching judgment with natural conversational data generation. Conversations should be useful, adaptable, professional, and representative of real coaching interactions.

What You'll Do

You will participate in paired conversations and provide practical guidance based on professional coaching experience. You will adapt your approach to different career goals, backgrounds, and individual needs while following project guidelines.

Strong active listening, effective questioning, clear communication, and interpersonal judgment are important for keeping each conversation natural and helpful.

Requirements

Professional experience in career coaching, career counseling, professional coaching, mentoring, or professional development is preferred. Several years of hands-on experience in one or more of these areas is also preferred.

The role is listed at an entry level, but candidates should be able to draw on practical experience supporting career-related conversations and decisions.

  • Professional experience as a career coach, career counselor, career advisor, professional coach, or similar practitioner
  • Ability to conduct natural and helpful one-on-one coaching conversations
  • Experience supporting career planning, job searches, interviews, workplace challenges, or career transitions
  • Strong active listening, questioning, verbal communication, and interpersonal judgment
  • Comfort working remotely and participating in paired conversation sessions
  • Availability to work at least 20 hours per week
  • English fluency and residence in the United States
