OpenTrain is the centralized platform where people build careers in AI training and data labeling. We help freelancers find projects, consolidate proof-of-work, and grow a durable portfolio so you can turn AI training into long-term freelance work.
Work with OpenTrain to contribute directly to how AI models are trained — flexible, remote opportunities that let you show technical skill and scale your experience across projects.
We're hiring a C Quality Assurance Lead to evaluate AI-generated C code and trainer QA output across C programming AI training projects. You will assess compile- and run-time correctness, memory safety, pointer logic, portability, performance, readability, and adherence to rubrics and instructions.
This role combines deep C expertise with clear written feedback, quality tracking, contributor support, and improvements to QA workflows and documentation.
You will review AI-generated C code, debugging responses, pointer and memory examples, algorithmic solutions, tests, and technical explanations. Your feedback will be precise and actionable, and you will surface recurring issues and escalate critical safety or correctness problems.
You must have strong, practical C expertise and direct experience in systems programming, code review, QA, or technical mentoring. The role requires professional English communication for contributor support and written feedback.
Familiarity with common compilers, tools, and workflows will help you succeed and move faster, though these are listed as helpful rather than strictly required.
This is a remote contractor, part-time role with a United States hiring focus. Compensation is up to $75/hour and the expected commitment is 20+ hours per week.
OpenTrain connects technical contributors to cutting-edge AI training work while helping you build a consolidated portfolio that proves your expertise. As a C QA Lead you will shape how models learn to reason about systems code and mentor contributors at scale.
If you meet the requirements, apply through OpenTrain to be considered. Successful contributors receive onboarding, documentation, and ongoing QA workflows to support consistent quality and impact.
