About AI training and why it matters
AI training (data labeling / human feedback) is the human side of building intelligent systems: people evaluate model outputs, correct errors, and produce reference examples so models learn safe, correct behavior. This work is highly flexible, often remote, and directly shapes how state-of-the-art AI systems behave.
The role
You will be a C++ AI Code Review Engineer responsible for evaluating AI-generated C++ code, system designs, and technical explanations. Your reviews will include producing high-quality reference implementations and step-by-step reasoning to justify assessments and suggested fixes.
Assess AI responses for correctness, clarity, safety, prompt adherence, and reasoning quality
Identify issues in logic, memory handling, concurrency, and performance
Produce reference solutions and clear, reproducible explanations for reviewers and models
Compare and rank multiple model outputs by technical accuracy and reasoning
What you'll do day-to-day
Work on repeated review tasks within project guidelines, maintaining consistency and high quality across evaluations.
Review source materials and model outputs against project-specific guidelines
Write expert responses with step-by-step technical reasoning in English
Detect subtle correctness issues: lifetime/safety bugs, data races, deadlocks, undefined behavior, and performance regressions
Create example implementations or pseudo-code demonstrating correct approaches
Rank and annotate multiple model-generated solutions for training and RLHF workflows
Requirements
You must bring deep, practical C++ expertise and strong written communication in English. Prior experience evaluating AI-generated technical content is a strong plus.
Advanced modern C++ knowledge (C++11 and later): templates, move semantics, smart pointers, STL
Proven experience conducting detailed C++ code reviews focused on safety, performance, and maintainability
Strong systems programming background: concurrency, OS concepts, memory management, low-level performance
Hands-on experience with build systems, compilers, linkers, debuggers, and profiling tools
Comfortable with version control, CI/CD workflows, and automated testing frameworks
Ability to write clear, methodical technical explanations and step-by-step reasoning in English
Prior work evaluating AI-generated technical content or training data for technical domains is strongly preferred
Schedule, pay, and location
This is hourly contractor work with remote availability. The role requires a minimum commitment of 20+ hours per week and offers ongoing project opportunities for strong performers.
Pay: $65/hour (contractor, hourly)
Estimated project earnings (as shown on the posting): $6,400–$10,400 depending on schedule and duration
Languages: English required
Eligible countries (remote): VN, TL, TH, SG, PK, PH, NP, MY, LK, KH, ID, BT, BD, IN, BR, DE, US
How it works and who should apply
OpenTrain handles hiring and contracting for this project. Apply if you are an experienced C++ engineer who enjoys deep technical review work, clear written explanations, and contributing to how AI systems are taught to reason about code.
Ideal for senior engineers, systems programmers, or experienced C++ reviewers comfortable producing reference implementations and thorough technical write-ups
Work is project-based and iterative: expect repeated small tasks that require consistent judgment and attention to subtle issues
If you meet the requirements, build your OpenTrain profile and apply to be considered for this and future C++ evaluation projects
Review AI-generated C code and low-level systems designs for correctness, safety, and performance, and produce reference implementations and clear technical explanations. Remote contractor role — part-time, 20+ hours/week at $65/hr; English required.
Review and validate AI-produced C++ code for correctness, efficiency, and reliability in a remote, contractor role. Ideal for intermediate C/C++ engineers who can spend 20+ hours/week giving clear, actionable feedback to improve generated software.
Join OpenTrain AI to audit and correct reviews of AI-generated C++ snippets—compile and run code in sandboxed containers, verify correctness, and provide rubric-based feedback. Remote, contract role — 20+ hrs/week at $25/hr; requires 7+ years professional C++ experience.
