The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a C++ AI Code Evaluation Developer to review and validate code and solutions generated by AI systems. You will help improve dialogue agents designed for education, entertainment, and general question-answering.

This contractual, part-time opportunity combines hands-on C and C++ expertise with code evaluation, backend development, technical leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role requires a commitment of 20+ hours per week and is available worldwide.

What You'll Do

You will assess AI-generated code and contribute to development work that supports the training and improvement of large language model systems. Your feedback will help identify technical weaknesses and guide developers toward stronger solutions.

  • Review AI-generated C and C++ code for quality, correctness, efficiency, and reliability
  • Evaluate code for maintainability and alignment with established software development practices
  • Resolve difficult coding problems that arise during AI validation
  • Provide clear, constructive technical feedback on other developers' work
  • Develop new features and rework existing code in public GitHub repositories
  • Work with large codebases of 50,000 or more lines
  • Build stable, scalable backend components that support LLM training
  • Apply current coding practices across languages and frameworks
  • Organize development priorities and define goals and deadlines
  • Coordinate work with cross-functional teams
  • Identify strategies for improving AI capabilities and integrating dialogue-agent systems with other components

Requirements

This role is listed as entry level, but it requires substantial technical capability in C and C++, software development, and AI code evaluation. Equivalent practical experience may be considered in place of the specified degree.
