The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking a Brazilian Portuguese Audio Transcriptionist to produce accurate, detailed transcriptions of spoken audio for AI training. You will work with natural conversations that may include crosstalk, background noise, filled pauses, and multiple speakers.
This is a fully remote, flexible, part-time contract role for an entry-level contributor. No prior AI experience is required, but you must be a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with excellent listening and typing skills.

What You’ll Do
You will transcribe real-world Brazilian Portuguese audio while following detailed style and formatting guidelines. The work requires careful judgment and consistency, especially when recordings contain difficult or ambiguous speech.
Listen to spoken audio recordings in Brazilian Portuguese and create accurate transcriptions
Handle overlapping speakers, background noise, filled pauses, and other challenging audio
Identify and differentiate multiple speakers in a single recording
Apply conventions for non-verbal sounds, inaudible segments, and annotation markers
Maintain quality and accuracy across high volumes of audio content
Flag ambiguous or problematic segments with clear, structured notes
Follow detailed transcription guidelines precisely and consistently
Required Skills
Success in this role depends on an instinctive understanding of natural Brazilian Portuguese speech and the patience to work through difficult recordings. You should be methodical, dependable, and comfortable working independently.
