OpenTrain AI is seeking an intermediate Biology Expert with advanced Python skills to design and verify original, computationally intensive biology research problems. Problems must require non-trivial reasoning and must be solved and validated using Python and standard computational biology libraries.

You will create clear problem statements, produce answers, and document reproducible verification steps. Assignments should reflect real research workflows in bioinformatics, systems biology, or molecular modeling and may involve text generation, evaluation, and fine-tuning data.

This is part-time work requiring 20 or more hours per week. Work is project-based, with hours varying according to the project phase. Compensation is determined by project scope and complexity, with the listed hourly range of $15 to $60 USD.

What You'll Do

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional biology or computational biology experience
• Advanced Python skills
• Experience with NumPy, SciPy, and Biopython

• Familiarity with bioinformatics and computational biology problems
• Hands-on text annotation or review experience
