The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking Biology AI Evaluation Specialists to review generated responses and provide expert feedback. You will assess biological explanations for correctness, identify conceptual and methodological errors, fact-check claims, write model solutions, and compare responses based on scientific soundness and reasoning quality.

The work covers human and animal biology, molecular pathways, physiology, disease fundamentals, causal mechanisms, experimental constraints, and experimental reasoning.

What You'll Do

You will evaluate both the final answer and the reasoning behind it. Strong performance requires careful attention to biological mechanisms, functional relationships, regulatory details, methodology, and the limits of available evidence.

• Review AI-generated biology responses for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to the prompt
• Assess biological reasoning, including causal mechanisms and experimental constraints
• Evaluate methodology, conceptual understanding, and logical soundness
• Write clear biological explanations and model solutions using correct methods
• Rate and compare multiple answers for accuracy, clarity, biological correctness, and reasoning quality
• Identify oversimplifications, missing regulatory details, and errors in functional relationships
• Fact-check biological claims and explain advanced biology clearly and precisely
• Help test model outputs for inaccuracies or biases across different use cases

Requirements

This role is listed as entry level, but it requires advanced academic training and strong subject-matter knowledge. You should be able to explain complex biology accurately and critically review sophisticated educational or research content.

• MS or PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Physiology, or a closely related life-science field
• Strong command of human and animal biology, molecular pathways, physiology, and disease fundamentals
• Experience developing or critically reviewing complex biology content, such as problem banks, textbook sections, or research notes
• Excellent biological writing skills and the ability to explain advanced theory clearly
• English proficiency at C1 level or above
• Data-labeling, RLHF, or AI model evaluation experience is a bonus
