The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting for a Bengali language AI data contractor to support transcription review, audio recording, captioning, and spoken-language cleanup for model training workflows. You will improve Bengali text and audio so models can learn from accurate, natural examples.

This is a part-time contractor role expected to average 20+ hours per week. Work is fully remote and open worldwide; you will work independently and follow project guidelines to meet quality and deadline expectations.

What You'll Do

• Review and correct machine-generated Bengali transcriptions for accuracy, fluency, and natural phrasing.
• Transcribe spoken Bengali with attention to contextual nuance and speaker intent.
• Record clear Bengali audio renditions of provided text using reliable equipment in a quiet environment.
• Create accurate captions for audio or video content that reflect timing and spoken content.
• Flag linguistic issues, inconsistencies, or cultural/contextual errors and provide constructive workflow feedback.
• Maintain consistent quality across tasks and meet deadlines independently.

Requirements

• Fluent Bengali (bn) with strong grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English (en) for reporting and feedback.
• Prior experience in transcription, captioning, subtitling, or voice acting is required.
• Ability to identify and correct errors in machine-generated text and follow style guidelines.
• Reliable audio recording setup and a quiet environment for high-quality recordings.
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently, and meet deadlines consistently.

Helpful Background

Experience on AI or technology-driven language projects, or a background in linguistics, media, or related fields, is beneficial but not required.

Comfort working with multicultural or international teams is a plus.

Schedule, Compensation & Tools

This is a contractor, part-time position with a typical commitment of 20+ hours per week and flexible scheduling.

Compensation is paid hourly on a PAY_PER_HOUR basis with rates ranging from $14 to $24 USD per hour depending on task complexity and experience.
