About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for building careers in AI training and data labeling. We hire and contract people to help train real AI systems by creating the high-quality examples those systems learn from, and we make it easy to find flexible, remote work that fits your life.

Why AI training matters (brief)

AI models learn from human examples—transcripts, labels, and quality checks—and contributors directly shape how those systems behave. Work like this is often 100% remote, flexible, and accessible: many projects need language fluency and attention to detail rather than prior experience.

The role

We’re hiring native Bashkir speakers to transcribe and annotate audio clips. This is a part-time contractor role performed remotely using our internal proprietary annotation tools. You will follow project guidelines and contribute high-quality labeled audio data used to train speech and language models.

  • Employment type: Contractor, Part-time
  • Time commitment: 20+ hours/week (typically 3–5 hours/day)
  • Labeling tasks: Classification and segmentation of audio
  • Tooling: Internal proprietary annotation platform
  • Compensation: Fixed-price contract — $300 total

What you’ll do day-to-day

You’ll review short audio recordings in Bashkir, create accurate transcriptions, and mark speech segments according to the provided annotation guidelines. Quality and consistency are important: you’ll verify your work and follow standard checks described in training materials.

  • Listen and transcribe Bashkir audio clips accurately
  • Annotate segments and apply classification labels per guidelines
  • Use the project’s annotation tool to mark segments and submit work
  • Record simple metadata and progress in Google Sheets as required
  • Attend short training and follow quality feedback to improve annotations

Requirements

This is an entry-level project designed for native Bashkir speakers; no prior annotation experience is required. You must be able to commit to the stated hours and complete training before full task access is granted.

  • Native fluency in Bashkir (required)
  • No prior experience necessary; training provided
  • Availability to work roughly 3–5 hours per day, totaling 20+ hours/week
  • Basic ability to use Google Sheets to log work and follow simple spreadsheets

Who should apply

Apply if you are a native Bashkir speaker looking for flexible, remote part-time work. This role is a good fit for students, bilingual speakers, or anyone wanting to gain experience in AI training and data annotation while earning contract pay.

  • People seeking flexible part-time remote work
  • Anyone interested in starting a career in AI data labeling
  • Speakers comfortable reading and writing Bashkir
