The Role

We are hiring Audio and Video Data Annotators as contractors to perform detailed annotation, review, and correction of audio and video samples. This is a part-time, remote position ideal for contributors who are organized, accurate, and comfortable documenting decisions for auditability.

• Employment type: Contractor, Part-time.
• Time requirement: 20+ hours per week.
• Pay: Hourly, USD $6 to $8 per hour.
• Label types: Classification and Transcription.

What You'll Do

You will apply project guidelines to label audio and video, verify and correct existing annotations, and keep clear records of annotation decisions so work is auditable and consistent.

• Annotate and label audio and video content according to project guidelines.
• Transcribe speech and assign classification labels where required.
• Review, validate, and correct existing annotations for consistency and accuracy.
• Flag ambiguous or erroneous samples and document decisions.
• Collaborate with project leads and peers to align on best practices and improve workflows.
• Meet deliverables and deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.

Requirements

This entry-level role emphasizes attention to detail, clear English communication, and disciplined documentation. Prior annotation experience is helpful but not strictly required if you can demonstrate accuracy and the ability to follow evolving guidelines.

• Strong attention to detail and quality control in audio/video annotation.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English.
• Experience with data annotation or data labeling (helpful).
• Comfort working with evolving annotation guidelines and documenting decisions.
• Familiarity with labeling tools or platforms is helpful but not mandatory.
