The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an Art History and Cultural Studies Quality Assurance Lead to review AI-generated humanities content and trainer QA work for accuracy, nuance, and consistency. You will evaluate art historical explanations, visual analyses, cultural comparisons, museum-style descriptions, critical interpretations, and context summaries against project guidelines and rubrics.

This expert-level contractor role is available to candidates in the United States who can contribute 20 or more hours per week. The rate is $65 per hour, and the working language is English.

What You'll Do

You will combine subject-matter judgment with structured QA practices to help maintain reliable standards across expert AI training teams. The work includes reviewing content, documenting decisions, communicating feedback, and helping contributors stay aligned as project requirements evolve.

• Review art history, visual culture, cultural studies, and humanities AI training items for historical accuracy, interpretive nuance, terminology, and cultural sensitivity
• Evaluate trainer and QA submissions against detailed project rubrics and quality standards
• Provide clear written feedback, escalation notes, and guideline updates to remote contributors
• Support onboarding, calibration tasks, FAQs, trackers, documentation, and quality notes
• Identify recurring issues and help improve QA workflows across expert teams

Requirements

This role requires advanced expertise in art history, cultural studies, visual culture, museum studies, or a closely related humanities field. You should be able to assess visual analysis, historical context, representation, and culturally sensitive claims with care and consistency.

Strong written English communication is essential because the role involves structured evaluations, precise feedback, escalation notes, and project documentation.
