About AI Training and QA Work
AI training relies on human reviewers and testers to ensure software and model inputs are correct, reliable, and safe. Mobile-app QA is a practical way to join this fast-growing industry: your testing helps shape stable, user-friendly applications and the data used to improve AI behavior.
The Role
You will test an Android mobile application to find bugs, UI issues, crashes, performance problems, and functional defects. Work is remote and part-time as a contractor, with assignments submitted through OpenTrain's workflow.
Contract type: Contractor, part-time.
Time commitment: Less than 20 hours per week.
Pay: Fixed price of USD 130 per accepted assignment.
What You’ll Do
Follow supplied test cases, install the Android app, exercise features, and record any issues you discover. Provide clear, actionable bug reports so issues can be reproduced and fixed quickly.
Install the app on an Android smartphone and execute provided test cases.
Identify UI issues, functional bugs, crashes, and performance problems.
Capture screenshots where necessary and include them with reports.
Write detailed bug reports with clear reproduction steps and expected vs. actual behavior.
Submit work through OpenTrain’s labeling/testing interface (OPEN_LABEL).
Labeling work involves TEXT data and uses CLASSIFICATION and TEXT_GENERATION label types as specified.
Requirements
This is an entry-level role; prior QA experience is preferred but not mandatory. Successful testers will be comfortable using Android devices, following written instructions, and communicating clearly in English.
Access to an Android smartphone and a stable internet connection.
Ability to install and run Android applications and follow test cases.
Comfort taking screenshots and composing clear reproduction steps.
Communicate in English when writing reports and interacting through the platform.
Prior Android testing or QA experience is preferred but not required.
