OpenTrain is hiring a software engineer to turn real enterprise workflows into training and evaluation tasks for AI agents. You will study how people use business applications, create realistic multi-step objectives, and define what a correct result looks like.
- Research real data, tools, and workflows used across enterprise applications.
- Write long-horizon tasks that mirror genuine digital work and can train or evaluate AI systems.
- Create precise rubrics that explain whether an outcome is correct, complete, and high quality.
- Review tasks for realism, correctness, scope, ambiguity, missing edge cases, and gaps in grading.
- Test objectives from start to finish in simulated environments for Slack, Linear, Jira, Notion, Gmail, and wikis.
- Reproduce and debug failures, report specific findings, and improve quality-control standards, checklists, and processes.
