Adolescent Suicide And Self-Harm Specialist

You will help train AI systems to assess and respond to adolescent suicide and self-harm risk. The work involves reviewing case materials, writing structured assessments, and comparing judgments with established guidance and peer assessments.

• Review adolescent case materials and write structured risk assessments.
• Use tools such as the C-SSRS and expert risk formulation.
• Distinguish self-harm, suicidal ideation, and suicidal intent.
• Describe levels of risk and urgency with precision.
• Recommend escalation pathways, safety planning such as Stanley-Brown plans, and means-restriction strategies.
• Identify comorbidities, safeguarding concerns, and other factors that affect risk.
• Write clear, research-grade English that non-specialists can use.
• Compare risk judgments with established guidelines and peer assessments for consistency.

What It Pays And Takes

This is a remote, part-time role for a clinical specialist. The listed experience level is entry level, and prior AI experience is not required.

• $45 to $95 per hour equivalent, paid per task that meets the project specifications.
• 10-15+ hours per week.
• Remote work, open to candidates in the countries listed for this role.
• Fluent English, with exceptional written communication. Accepted evidence includes IELTS 7.5 overall with 7.0 writing, TOEFL 100+, Cambridge C1-C2, or an equivalent standard.
• An active clinical license or registration in good standing.
• An active adolescent caseload within the past two years.
• At least 3-5 years of post-qualification experience with direct adolescent clinical contact focused on suicide or self-harm risk.
• Specialist credentials in child or adolescent psychiatry or psychology.
• Advanced skill with suicide and self-harm risk assessment tools, including the C-SSRS and safety planning protocols.

Helpful Background

• DBT-A or CBT training.
• Crisis or inpatient experience.
• Work contributing to suicidology research or clinical guidelines.
