About AI Evaluation Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. People create examples, review model behavior, and define what strong responses and decisions look like so that AI systems can become more useful and reliable.

In this role, your administrative experience will help test whether an AI system can coordinate tools, follow established processes, make sound judgment calls, and complete realistic operational work.

  • Help shape how advanced AI systems handle professional workflows
  • Turn practical administrative knowledge into structured evaluation scenarios
  • No prior AI training experience is required

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an Administrative Workflow AI Evaluation Expert to design and produce expert-authored evaluation tasks for a frontier AI benchmark. You will translate authentic administrative challenges into structured scenarios that assess process execution, tool coordination, and nuanced professional judgment.

This opportunity is intended for experienced administrative professionals who can explain why a particular action is correct and distinguish process compliance from thoughtful judgment. The listing is classified as entry level, but the role requires at least five years of professional administrative experience.

  • Subject matter focus: Administrative Workflow Evaluation
  • Contractor and part-time engagement
  • 20 or more hours per week
  • English-language work
  • Hourly compensation of $20 to $40 USD

What You'll Do

You will create process-driven evaluation tasks based on common administrative responsibilities and realistic workplace materials. Your work will show how an experienced professional would analyze information, follow procedures, resolve ambiguity, and complete each workflow correctly.

  • Design scenarios involving calendar reconciliation, travel and expense workflows, records management, and professional correspondence
  • Assemble realistic supporting artifacts such as emails, calendar entries, receipts, meeting notes, and contact records
  • Define correct solutions and document the step-by-step decisions an experienced professional would make
  • Build comprehensive rubrics with more than 35 criteria covering process adherence and nuanced judgment
  • Document administrative workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Calibrate task complexity against real-world professional challenges

Requirements

You should have at least five years of experience supporting teams or departments in a professional administrative capacity within a mid-to-large organization. The work requires both practical workflow ownership and the ability to clearly explain decisions, standards, and improvements.

  • Demonstrated ownership of ongoing, recurring administrative workflows
  • Experience documenting and improving inherited administrative procedures
  • Experience coordinating calendars, travel and expense workflows, records, and correspondence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional correspondence skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Comfort working with CSVs, PDFs, spreadsheets, technical documents, and other digital tools and data formats
  • Ability to define step-by-step solutions and nuanced evaluation criteria

Helpful Background

Experience coordinating multiple administrative tools and workflows will help you produce realistic scenarios. Clear process documentation skills and sound judgment in ambiguous operational situations are also valuable.

The strongest contributors can identify whether an action simply follows a documented process or demonstrates the thoughtful judgment needed to handle a complex professional situation.

  • Administrative workflow coordination
  • Process documentation and improvement
  • Professional operations support
  • Evaluation of ambiguous operational decisions
  • Clear explanation of reasoning and expected outcomes
