The Accounting Reconciliation AI Task Author Role
OpenTrain is recruiting an Accounting Reconciliation AI Task Author to design expert-level tasks that train and evaluate advanced AI agents on realistic enterprise finance scenarios. You will translate accounting knowledge into numerically rigorous tasks focused on reconciliation, financial reasoning, and reliable evaluation.

What You'll Do
You will author prompts involving payment-to-invoice matching, billing compared with recognized revenue, and margin report analysis. You will also construct the financial context needed for advanced AI agents to reason through realistic accounting situations.
Each task must have reliable, verifiable outcomes. You will solve your own tasks, check the balances and calculations, and refine the data, documents, ambiguity, and reasoning requirements until the difficulty is appropriately calibrated.
- Write prompts for payment-to-invoice matching scenarios
- Create tasks comparing billing with recognized revenue
- Design margin report analysis tasks
- Write rubrics with exact numerical outcomes and required reasoning

Requirements
You should have hands-on experience as an accountant, finance analyst, or in a closely related finance role. Strong numerical reasoning and experience with multi-step reconciliation problems are required.
You must understand revenue recognition, matching rules, and standard accounting workflows. The role also requires the ability to define correctness criteria that can be checked precisely, including exact figures, reconciled balances, and explanations of variances.
