The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an Accounting Reconciliation AI Task Author to create expert training tasks for advanced AI agents handling enterprise financial work. You will design realistic scenarios involving payments, invoices, recognized revenue, billing, and margin reports.

Each task must have objectively scorable outcomes, precise numerical answers, and clearly defined reasoning criteria. The work combines practical accounting judgment with structured AI task design, including validating task logic, calibrating difficulty, and correcting AI-drafted prompts or rubrics.

This contractor opportunity is available to English-speaking professionals in the Philippines who can commit to 20 or more hours per week. The listed hourly pay range is $60 to $120.

What You'll Do

You will create realistic financial scenarios and make them sufficiently precise for consistent evaluation. You will also solve each task yourself, verify its calculations, and refine its difficulty and grading criteria.

The role includes reviewing AI-generated materials and improving them so prompts and rubrics accurately reflect accounting logic and produce verifiable results.

• Author prompts for payment-to-invoice matching
• Create billing and revenue reconciliation tasks
• Develop margin report analysis scenarios
• Write rubrics with exact numerical outcomes
• Define the reasoning steps required for correctness
• Assemble financial data and documents into realistic scenarios

Required Qualifications

You should have hands-on experience as an accountant, finance analyst, or closely related finance professional. Strong numerical reasoning and practical knowledge of accounting workflows are essential because tasks must be both financially sound and objectively verifiable.

You should be comfortable working with financial documents, spreadsheets, and accounting system outputs. The role also requires the ability to test and refine tasks for difficulty, logic, and gradability.

• Hands-on experience as an accountant, finance analyst, or related finance professional
• Strong numerical reasoning and ability to solve multi-step reconciliation problems
• Knowledge of revenue recognition, payment matching, and standard accounting workflows
• Ability to create objectively scorable task prompts
• Ability to validate financial calculations and define correctness criteria
• Comfort with financial documents, spreadsheets, and accounting system outputs
• Willingness to test and refine tasks for difficulty and gradability

Helpful Background

Experience in manufacturing, industrial, BPO, or enterprise B2B finance is helpful. Familiarity with common accounting and enterprise resource planning systems can also support success in this role.

Additional valuable experience includes audit, financial controls, or revenue assurance, as well as a CPA Philippines license or equivalent qualification.
