About AI Training Work

AI training is the human work behind modern artificial intelligence. Contributors prepare and review examples, including images, video, language, and model outputs, so AI systems can better understand the world. This project focuses on detailed visual annotation of human movement.

  • Help improve how AI systems interpret human poses
  • Use specialized annotation workflows to refine visual data
  • Work remotely with a computer and internet connection

The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking an expert 3D Key Point Body Annotation Specialist for a two-hour pilot project. You will annotate 3D poses based on existing 2D annotations, refining positions, depths, and orientations to achieve accurate results.

The project offers flexible scheduling and pays $15 USD per hour. Successful completion of the pilot may lead to ongoing work, though continued work is not guaranteed. This is a part-time contractor opportunity requiring less than 20 hours per week and is open to candidates based in the USA.

  • Pilot duration: 2 hours
  • Pay: $15 USD per hour
  • Location: USA only
  • Work type: Part-time contractor
  • Time requirement: Less than 20 hours per week
  • Language: English

What You'll Do

You will review and refine human-pose annotations in a 3D environment. The workflow includes validating existing labels, correcting 2D key points and visibility, estimating camera and scene parameters, and aligning skeletal key points with an avatar model.

Precision is essential throughout the process. You will use tools such as Undo and Redo, dataset-management functions, field-of-view controls, 3D target manipulation, and keyboard shortcuts to complete accurate annotations efficiently.

  • Validate existing pose annotations
  • Adjust 2D key points and visibility
  • Refine 3D key-point positions, depths, and orientations
  • Estimate field of view and ground planes
  • Align key points with an avatar model
  • Identify out-of-frame or misplaced key points
  • Use review stages from initial assessment through final approval

Requirements

This role is designed for an expert annotator with experience working on human poses in both 2D and 3D environments. You should be comfortable interpreting key-point visibility and occlusion, aligning skeletal avatars realistically with human poses, and making camera and depth adjustments.

Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills are important for identifying discrepancies and resolving annotation challenges. Familiarity with annotation tools, dataset management, review workflows, and hotkeys is also required.

  • Expert-level 2D and 3D human pose annotation experience
  • Knowledge of key-point visibility and occlusion handling
  • Experience with annotation tools, dataset management, and 3D target manipulation
  • Understanding of human anatomy and realistic skeletal alignment
  • Ability to estimate ground planes and adjust field of view
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Familiarity with annotation review stages
  • Comfort using hotkeys to work efficiently
  • Must be based in the USA

How This Work Builds AI

Accurate pose data helps AI systems recognize and understand human movement in visual content. By refining key points, depths, orientations, visibility, and camera perspective, you contribute specialized human judgment to the datasets used to improve AI.

  • Apply specialized visual-annotation expertise
  • Contribute to more accurate human-pose understanding
  • Potentially continue with ongoing work after the pilot
