The Role
We are hiring a US Corporate Tax Review Specialist to evaluate and improve AI-generated corporate tax research materials. You will validate draft answers, assess cited authorities, and refine grading rubrics so final outputs reflect current US federal corporate tax law.
This is a short-term, part-time contractor engagement estimated at under 20 hours per week and limited to candidates working from the United States.
- Review approximately 120 US corporate tax research questions and associated draft answers.
- Confirm accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current federal tax law and guidance.
What You'll Do
Your core responsibilities are technical review, quality control, and improving the materials the AI will learn from.
- Validate draft gold-standard answers across US corporate tax topics and correct inaccuracies.
- Assess and verify cited legal authorities, effective dates, and recent legislative or regulatory changes.
- Improve grading rubrics for completeness, consistency, and technical accuracy.
- Rewrite answers and rubrics when they do not reflect current law or best practices.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the technical and professional thresholds below. We will verify credentials during selection.
- 5+ years of professional US tax experience.
- CPA, JD, or equivalent experience (e.g., Tax Manager, Tax Counsel, Big Four tax professional).
- Deep expertise in US federal corporate tax and strong tax research methodology knowledge.
- Experience preparing technical tax memoranda, workpapers, tax opinions, and IRS forms.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Work location: United States only; language: English.
Helpful Background (Preferred)
The following experiences are not strictly required but will make your review faster and more valuable.
- Partnership tax experience and state and local tax (SALT) familiarity.
- Knowledge of transfer pricing principles under IRC Section 482.
- Experience reviewing complex, multi-step tax analyses and applying recent legislative or regulatory developments.
Compensation & Logistics
This position is a part-time contractor role. Pay is hourly at the rate shown below, and expected time commitment is less than 20 hours per week.
