About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the #1 platform for building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect freelancers with projects that teach and refine AI systems, help contributors build a unified portfolio across work, and support durable freelance careers in a fast-growing industry.
Why AI training matters
AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback) is the human side of how modern AI systems learn. Contributors create, review, and rate examples—like annotations, evaluations, and technical explanations—that teach models to produce accurate and safe outputs.
This work is largely remote, flexible, and accessible: many roles let you choose hours and build experience that directly shapes state-of-the-art systems. For specialists in telecommunications, it’s a chance to make AI understand critical networks, protocols, and industry practices.
About the role
Micro1 is hiring a remote Telecommunications AI Trainer (contractor, part-time) to provide expert evaluation and technical guidance for AI models working with telecom content. The position centers on reviewing AI-generated text, documenting telecommunication systems and protocols, and producing clear, actionable feedback that helps improve model behavior.
This is a cross-functional role that requires deep telecom domain knowledge, strong written communication, and comfort working on distributed teams.
- Employment type: Contractor, Part-time
- Time commitment: 20+ hours per week
- Pay: Hourly, USD $20–$75/hr
- Work type: Fully remote; worldwide applicants accepted
- Primary data: Text (label types: evaluation/rating and text generation)
- Labeling software: Other (project provides tools)
