The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting a SolidWorks Screenshot Capture Specialist to support AI training work focused on Mechanical Product Design Software. You will work with project materials and model outputs, follow project rubrics, and provide consistent feedback that can improve model behavior.

The role is listed as entry level, but it requires hands-on experience with SolidWorks Premium or comparable mechanical design software. Strong real-world knowledge of the subject area is the most important qualification.

What You'll Do

You will capture and review visual materials from SolidWorks Premium while applying detailed project instructions. Your written explanations and judgments will help create reliable training data for AI systems working with mechanical design software.

• Review project materials and source materials against project guidelines
• Apply project rubrics consistently across repeated review tasks
• Review model outputs and identify whether they meet project requirements
• Write clear feedback explaining your judgments
• Help feedback improve model behavior
• Maintain consistency and quality throughout assigned tasks

Requirements

You should be comfortable working independently on detailed remote contractor tasks and communicating your reasoning clearly in English. The role requires access to specific hardware and software for screenshot capture.

• Hands-on experience with SolidWorks Premium or comparable mechanical design software
• Current access to SolidWorks Premium on a Windows PC
• A display setup capable of capturing screenshots above 2.5 megapixels
• Relevant professional or academic expertise in Mechanical Product Design Software
• Fluency in English
• Strong written communication and careful attention to detail
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply rubrics consistently
• Ability to work independently on remote contractor tasks

Pay and Eligible Locations

This contractor role pays $45 to $55 per hour. Estimated project earnings are $14,400 to $17,600 based on the schedule and duration shown on OpenTrain.
