The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Medical Evaluation Specialist for AI training focused on medical question-and-answer evaluation. You will work with medical questions and answers, clinical literature, and structured review criteria to help train and assess AI systems.

Prior AI training experience is not required unless stated elsewhere on the job page. Strong real-world medical or biomedical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to explain clinical reasoning clearly are the most important qualifications.

This is a part-time contractor role with a commitment of 10-15 hours per week and minimum weekly task submissions. Work is remote and available worldwide.

What You'll Do

You will create and review medical content that tests whether AI systems can handle complex clinical concepts, evidence-based reasoning, and nuanced judgment. You will also respond to reviewer feedback and follow evolving project guidelines.

  • Design and verify challenging medical question-and-answer pairs covering diagnosis, mechanisms, pharmacology, guidelines, and clinical judgment.
  • Source and verify answers using primary literature, clinical guidelines, and authoritative references.
  • Document the rationale for answers and provide supporting citations.
  • Evaluate AI model responses to questions you create.
  • Refine straightforward responses and increase complexity while maintaining clinical accuracy.
  • Incorporate reviewer feedback into your deliverables.
  • Align completed work with changing project guidelines.

Requirements

This opportunity is intended for people with current medical training, clinical practice experience, or equivalent biomedical expertise. The work requires the ability to research medical topics independently and translate complex clinical knowledge into clear, well-structured questions and evaluations.
