About AI training and this project

AI training is the human side of building intelligent systems: people prepare, evaluate, and refine examples that teach models how to behave. This project focuses on using domain expertise in marketing and commercial strategy to train and evaluate AI-powered business tools that read, assess, and summarize commercial documents.

You will help shape how business-focused AI systems judge marketing decks, campaign reports, dashboards, and commercial plans by reviewing documents, creating rubrics, and providing high-quality feedback.

  • Work directly on document review and evaluation tasks that influence model behavior.
  • Contribute to high-impact training data used by AI tools for marketing and commercial decisions.

The role

OpenTrain is recruiting a Marketing & Commercial Strategy Specialist (contractor) to support an AI training project run for OpenTrain. This part-time, remote role is ideal for candidates with experience in marketing strategy, product marketing, growth, commercial strategy, sales operations, or market research.

  • Position type: Contractor, part-time (20+ hours/week).
  • Work location: Remote, open worldwide; primary language: English.

What you'll do

Your day-to-day work is document-focused: you will read marketing decks, campaign reports, commercial plans, and analytics dashboards, then rate, annotate, and provide actionable feedback according to project rubrics. You will also create or refine evaluation frameworks so AI can learn consistent judgments.

  • Review marketing and sales strategy decks, campaign performance reports, and commercial planning materials.
  • Create detailed rubrics and qualitative feedback frameworks to assess business content.
  • Analyze market research and customer insights to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Draft concise, visually rich presentations and summaries communicating findings.
  • Review and refine dashboards, metrics, and analytical reports for business relevance.
  • Contribute domain expertise to train and evaluate AI-powered business tools.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the core skills and experience listed below. The project values clear written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and comfort working with business documents and dashboard outputs.

  • Background in marketing strategy, commercial strategy, product marketing, growth management, sales operations, or market research.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and experience with campaign/performance data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to craft concise, visually engaging content.
  • Familiarity with rubric creation, qualitative feedback frameworks, or structured evaluation methods.
  • Proficiency with marketing, analytics, or business intelligence tools such as Excel or Tableau.
