The Role

We are hiring a Financial Data Analyst contractor to prepare and validate financial datasets used to train next‑generation AI systems. This remote, part‑time contract combines spreadsheet work, document review, and structured annotation with opportunities to share domain insights.

You will work with document data and produce classification labels, named‑entity annotations, and evaluation ratings according to established guidelines.

What You'll Do

Your day‑to‑day combines financial analysis and hands‑on annotation: organizing datasets, labeling documents, validating values, and communicating findings to product and data science teams.

  • Analyze and interpret complex financial data to support consistent annotations.
  • Use advanced Excel or Google Sheets techniques to organize, validate, and manipulate large datasets.
  • Label, annotate, and categorize financial documents using classification and entity NER approaches.
  • Perform evaluation rating tasks to assess label quality and model outputs.
  • Review documents for completeness and alignment with annotation guidelines and compliance checks.
  • Document findings and present clear explanations to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or automate annotation workflows.

Requirements
