About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a part-time remote Finance Expert with a background in investment banking, private equity, or structured finance to contribute domain expertise to AI model training. The work involves applying real-world finance knowledge to help AI systems learn to reason about financial concepts, transactions, and analysis with accuracy and depth.

What you will do
- Develop detailed financial models and conduct rigorous market analyses to support buy-side and sell-side transaction processes
- Prepare and deliver executive-level investment memos, board materials, regulatory reports, and investor presentations
- Perform in-depth credit analysis, review loan agreements, and ensure compliance with financial covenants and regulations
- Lead budgeting and FP&A initiatives, synthesizing complex data into actionable insights
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence and support deal execution from ideation to closing
- Translate financial findings into compelling narratives to enable data-driven decisions

Required skills
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, market analysis, and investment memo preparation within IB, PE, or structured finance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for financial analysis and executive presentation
- Demonstrated experience in credit and financial statement analysis and loan agreement review
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to synthesize complex financial data
- Track record supporting buy-side and sell-side transactions in a remote, collaborative environment
- Experience with regulatory reporting, compliance reviews, and due diligence processes

Helpful background
- Prior experience as a Finance Specialist AI trainer
- Background in strategic change management or board-level consulting
- Exposure to risk management and investor relations functions

Schedule and location
This is a fully remote, part-time contract role. Candidates may work flexible hours and are asked to indicate weekly availability during the application process.
